Today we aren't looking for a specific brand or name. We want what looks good and feels right with our outfit. OUR LOOK! I actually own a many different purse styles. My customers never come to me with the same purse on which is very interesting. Maybe we all have the same feeling out switching up our purse with our looks.

Take A Look At These Unique Bags, In many different shapes, styles & colors. Some name brand and some are not.

The celebrity Rihanna even sports a causal look, wearing $1,050 Delvaux bag that looks like a taxi cab.

My Entry......

This type of dress is a product and a body supplement. Purses can be handheld or worn on or over the shoulder. Handbags play an essential role in the life of modern women. Handbags are not only used for style purpose but are also useful in carrying daily items manageable in it. The cultural components I can connect this dress to is social structure and technology. To purchase bags we don't have to leave our homes, technology is our bestfriend. The cultural mechanism is economic organization, socialization and communication, art and aesthetics. A $850 name brand purse such as Balenciaga categorizes people economically and also socially. Designers communicate their purse styles to the world/target market; consumers give feedback in purchasing their items, advertising purchases and selfies on social media.

There are many different ways a person or even a brand can stand out in fashion. A lot of fashion is repeated and recreated of course. Depending on what your style is and or what you like can determine what makes unique.

"I don't aspire to be like anyone else but myself. Although I may get inspired by the many things around me, I always will find a way to make it me." -Jessica Michelle

My Entry.......

Facial jewelry—an experimental approach to where and how jewelry can be worn that is more advanced than simple facial piercings. I started wearing face jewelry in 2015. The inspiration came from both African & Indian culture. Inspired by the look so much, I began to explore with my own jewelry. When I first started, I wasn't quite sure of the reaction I would receive from others. In the back of my mind, I didn't care. Adding face jewelry to my look is what most people know me for and what helps me stand out today.

This dress is a body modification and can also be a body supplement. The cultural component associated with this dress is ideology. Different cultures that wear face jewelry has their own belief, attitude and values towards the look. They may represent a particular achievement or position within the religion. My face jewelry is only worn for fun. It's a self-expression. Three cultural mechanism are family & kinship, communication, economic organization, socialization. Face jewelry can represent a tribe or family group in which it belongs to. Positioning of the face jewelry can symbolize a person’s status, both in today’s society and throughout history. People of higher social status or wealth often own and wear jewelry that is more valuable.

Have you ever had a morning when, you didn't feel like doing your hair? I know I have. Not everyone's hairstyle can fit into a cute pony-tail to-go. However, with any hairstyle you can always throw on a cool hat while making a fashion statement.

"Hats are such a neat way to look simple yet cute." -Jessica Michelle

Accessory: Hat| Style: Beret| Color: Black| Date: 2/23/21

Three On The Go Hat Styles:

(1) Beret | (2) Beanie | (3) Cap

Hats are one of my favorite accessories to wear year around. You can mix and match it with your clothing, enhancing part of your wardrobe. This type of dress is a product and is a body supplement. The cultural mechanism I can connect this dress to is family and kinship organization. My favorite hat to wear is a Beret which came from seeing my grandma wearing them and styling them.
